Yes, I know this is super late! Have been preoccupied with work. The last week of Feb was fantastic because I caught up with both groups of my closest friends :)

These days everybody is busy working and spending time with their other half, that we hardly meet each other! Sometimes, we take months (like 2 or more!) to get everyone together for a meal -_-

Here's Lee Lee, Chian Huey and I over a dinner at Le Midi, BSC. A good night spent chatting about Lee Lee's job as a lawyer, Chian Huey's experience in a Michelin star restaurant in Hong Kong, and .... Malaysian politics :P I love it that I can talk everything and anything to my girlfriends ;)

Lee Lee's great photo taking skills resulting in me wearing a huge, China concubine-like headgear ;)

Camwhoring in the toilet, as if we're still 17 back in high school :D

That Saturday itself, we went out for a celebratory lunch for Chian Huey at Three Little Pigs, Bangsar Village 1. Got lost finding the entrance to this place in the mall, that I had to ask around, only to find out its' entrance is through a small door in Village Grocer!

Good food, better companions ;) I'm wearing Whitesoot's Full Bloom Peplum Top here! Just launched last night ;) Mum got herself a piece in Violet Rose too because she thinks she looks pretty in it, and I agree! ;)

The next day, Bryan and I met up with my ex-colleagues over brunch at Red Bean Bag, Publika. We used to work together in a Marketing team, and it's wonderful that we are still close today, even after all of us had left and pursued a totally different career path :)

Oh! And during brunch, Jin Han (that macho guy there, other than Bryan) announced his engagement to his girlfriend of 7 years! Looks like someone else is getting married too ;) We were so happy for him, that I suggested we all become his heng dai LOL!

Other than that, it was just all work for me. The Whitesoot sale ended that weekend, and it was a packing frenzy the Monday after! Thank god for the operations maestro, Ric, who organized the entire packing during the Sale.

And since we had a trolley in the office, I can't help but do a silly jump with it! Please excuse me ;)

Earlier in December, I kinda figured what I was going to get for my birthday.

My compact camera was getting old (In Boracay, I tried taking a picture of Sue May, but the camera insisted that it focus on the coconut tree behind her -_-), and Bryan kept discussing with me about new cameras. So, it was pretty obvious I was going to get a new compact camera. I just didn't know which one, until a couple of days before my birthday.

Bryan suggested we decide on the camera together. After discussing for weeks, we finally settled on the Lumix LX7 ;) Bought a day before my birthday!

The week lining up to my birthday, we had tonnes of celebratory dinners (for all various reasons including my brother's graduation dinner & my surprise party (organized by my mom!), my nephew's return from Singapore etc) so I was constantly full to the brim every night! I don't even want to eat in the mornings!

So for my birthday, we just thought we'd go somewhere, just the two of us, for a quiet & simple dinner. Bryan made reservations for Nero Teca, but we didn't make it because we ended work later than expected! So, we ended up at a Chinese restaurant nearby :)

And just when I thought my birthday was going to end the way it was, with no surprises whatsoever, Bryan whipped out a folded A4 paper that looked like this.

I said "Oh wow! What is it?" but honestly, I was thinking 'Wah, why is my fiance so cheapo? Don't want to buy me a birthday card, but choose to fold an A4 paper?'

If you're wondering what Mao Mao is, that's what we call each other. Don't laugh! ;)

But of course, when I started realizing what that A4 paper was...

It was a return ticket to Melbourne for the both of us in September 2013!

T_________T

I absolutely love Melbourne, and although I just visited the place last month, I can't wait to get back there again!

But Melbourne will just be a stop-over. The main trip will be somewhere else, and we're gonna be traveling for almost a month! ;) I'm gonna keep the location hush-hush for now!

THANK YOU SO MUCH Bryan!!!! :D You always surprise me!

And now that the flight tickets are bought, we better start saving for it! :)

I'm typing this post after 38 hours of being awake with 2 hours of sleep.

Last night, my mom, Bryan and I decided to go to a neighbourhood kopitiam for drinks. It was 11PM by the time we got there, and I wanted to drink milk.

The menu stated that a cup of hot milk is RM5.80.

In my head, I thought 'Hmm, better not order milk, else Bryan will go on a mini lecture, asking why do I want to drink milk for RM5.80, when I can buy for much cheaper in the supermarket. Also, we have milk in the office' I can foresee this ahead, because to Bryan, it doesn't make sense and it's not justifiable to order a cup of milk for RM5.80. He's just like this for things he feels are not worth paying for.

So, to avoid any unnecessary bickering, I ended up looking at another page of drinks, and found milk tea for RM3.50. I thought 'Okay, this is more reasonable that RM5.80. Plus, I don't make milk tea in the office or at home :P I shall order this!'

OMG THAT RM3.50 MILK TEA COST ME MY ENTIRE NIGHT'S SLEEP!!!

I was in bed by 2AM, trying to sleep (Bryan was still awake reading something on the Tab), but ended up tossing and turning until 3AM when Bryan came to bed.

I was very sleepy as I could feel my eyes heavy and dry. But I just couldn't sleep. It was as if my brain was doing some running, jumping and somersaults....whole night long.

Bryan fell asleep before me, and he snored all the way -_-

Damn that RM3.50 tea. If I didn't have such thoughts and ordered the milk, I would have had a wonderful sleep, and got all recharged for the next busy day. All for the difference of RM2.30 only!

Next time, I won't bother Bryan and just order what I want :P

And for the record, I gave up trying to sleep at 7AM when the sun came up.

Wanted to blog about Guangzhou first, but THIS happened!!! All my girlfriends were asking me how did it happened, so here goes part of the story :)

I was sleeping and recuperating from our Boracay trip (it was 8AM on a Sunday morning!!!) when Bryan woke up and went out of the room. I thought it was quite odd. He started slamming the room doors so I was quite pissed off because it was waking me up, but I didn't care much, I was too tired! (I found out later that he kept the ring in his sister's room, hence all the doors slamming)

The next thing I knew, he went on his knees next to the bed, asking me something about surprises. I didn't reply him LOL. I must have looked quite horrible too, as I was sleeping face down with hair covering my face!!!

Then he opened the jewellery box and asked me if I will marry him. I faintly saw the diamond on the ring, and asked him 'Whose ring is that?'

T_________T

See, Bryan? This is the response you get because you prank your girlfriend too much!

But, yes, I agreed to put that beautiful 'compressed pebble' on my finger after he convinced me that the ring was for me ;)

I wanted to keep this entire thing hush-hush for a week or two, but not knowing that Bryan had already changed my relationship status on Facebook... all when I was still trying to make sense of what's happening. OMG!

LOL
good one Facebook! I love that picture. It shows Bryan's personality perfectly ;)

Darling, the past 6 years have been such a rollercoaster ride, but I'm sure it was those experiences that took us to where we are today. Thank you for everything! I'm definitely looking forward to ROCK N' ROLL the rest of my life with you ;)
